Notes in surgery:
Ø Cement-less Hip suitable for young-aged patient whose bone has good quality
Ø Resistance and chatter from cortical engagement may be used as a signal to cease taper reaming;
Ø Ensure sequential reaming is completed before broaching. If the broach size is countersunk more than 4mm below the neck resection, re-evaluate the resection level. If the neck resection level is determined to be correct ream up and use the next size broach.
